House of Cards: Season 2 | Grade: A+

From episode 1, I was gripped and in some trance with the split personality anti-hero Frank Underwood (played by the mesmerising Kevin Spacey).

Frank took us through his meteoric rise to the oval office, breaking through the 4th screen to give us every detail, sling and insult within the political battle ring.  I loved the story arc with Raymond Tusk as we finally see Frank meet his match in the influential billionaire.

This season was more shocking than a Scandal, more dark than a West Wing and more entertaining than most things on TV today! I was generally left floored most episodes if it wasn't the unfortunate derailment of Maya's storyline (no pun intended), unforeseen Rape revelation or even the infamous three-way with Frank, Claire and  the loyal but inconspicuous bodyguard. In this disorganised mess, the writers have been able to forge a calculated trail to freedom : the President's desk.

There was a determination to fight on to the bitter end this season! All i can say is - Roll on round 3!

Scoreboard: A+
